THE ANB ACADEMY ANNOUNCES ITS 4th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL ID SCOUTING CAMP

The ANB Academy is pleased to announce its 4th Annual International ID scouting camp taking place on Saturday & Sunday,
9 & 10 June, 2012 on the futbol grounds of The Country Day School (King City, Ontario), home of The ANB Academy. The camp will be open to all male players throughout Canada between 12 to 18 years of age.

Youth coaches and scouts from the following European clubs will be testing, observing and scouting the participants:

Coach Francois Rodrigues, SM Caen, French Ligue 1
Coach Sebastien Bannier, SM Caen, French Ligue 1
Coach Jean-Philippe Nallet, St. Etienne Loire, French Ligue 1
Coach Franck Sale, Nice FC, French Ligue 1
Coach Luc Benard, French Football Federation, France
Scout Bob Bennett, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, England
Coach Gerald Passi, Villareal, Spanish La Liga
Scout Victor Simas, Fundacao Pauleta, Portugal
Canada Soccer Association Coach - name to be confirmed

Camp schedule:

Saturday 9 June, 2012:
Daytime - Technique testing & small sided games
Evening - Presentation on the French, British, European youth formation systems

Sunday 10 June, 2012:
Daytime - Technique, fitness testing & full sided games .

Camp objectives:

1. Assess Canadian youth talent level in comparison to the European player.
2. Players who demonstrate the skill and talent to handle a European trial will be approached on an individual basis.
3. Players who show ability but need additional preparation will be approached on an individual basis.

In the past three years, several players were invited to various trials in England and France, based on their strong showing in the ID Camp. Registration is limited to 120 players, based on a first come, first serve basis.

"We are building on the successes of previous years, and we anticipate a stronger group of players being a part of the event this year. We will also enjoy the interaction between professional coaches and the local soccer community. We will advise on other confirmations from other coaches, including the Canadian Soccer Association, as we get closer to the date," said Bassam Naim, Academy Director.
