June 24, 2007 (RELEASE) -- ANB Soccer, one of the founding members of SAAC (Soccer Academy Alliance Canada), is pleased to announce that its junior showcase team U-16 boys will be traveling to Ireland in July to participate in the prestigious Foyle Cup then to France for a one week training/ID camp.

The Foyle Cup http://www.foylecup.com will be running its 15th annual tournament. The University of Ulster Foyle Cup is Ireland's premier Youth Football Tournament. Now firmly established as one of Europe's premier Youth Football tournaments, the Foyle Cup takes place in Derry City, Northern Ireland and surrounding areas from July 24th - 28th, 2007. This year it will be hosting teams from all over Europe, as well as Asia and North America.

“We expect the competition to be very strong where we can truly measure our players’ performance. I am looking forward for the challenge” said Bassam Naim the academy director and the head coach for the junior showcase U-16 boys team.

Following the Foyle Cup, the team will be heading to Yerville around the Normandy region of France for a one week training/ID camp whereby the ANB group will be playing teams from Le Havre and Auxere youth academies. The objectives of the training/ID camp are to provide our players with the highest level of European competition outside of their regular soccer environment and expose the top academy players to their European counterparts.

ANB academy's vision is to become Canada’s leading soccer development organization. Its mission is to identify Canadian soccer talent, and to maximize the potential of players at any level, through professional coaching and training.
